Configuring IP telnet printing?

» close window

The Question is:

  dear sir...
i would like to use a printer connected to an EQUINOX terminal server using
 TCPIP protocol..
the terminal server ip is 100.110.3.150
the port socket number is 3006 for telnet protocol and 4006 for tcpip
 protocol of the t.s...
i'm trying to establish a que using the following command..
 $init/start/que/processor=tcpip$telnetsym/on="100.110.3.150:3006" test

the queue was established...but when we use it to print file....the que status
is printing for about 15 seconds then it is stalled... is there any thing must
be done from the openvms side other than the que establishing....please tell
 me all what you can
about this subject....by the way...i looked for all subjects and
documentations on this site to help me....but nothing works...and the hardware
configuration is works correctly ?...please dont tell me look for the
 documentations or other quistions ???

The Answer is :

Please see the TCP/IP Services printer management documentation,
and please see the TCP/IP Services LPRSETUP tool, and please see
topic (1020) and associated topics here.

The OpenVMS Wizard would also check for a problem with this printer
configuration, and with this terminal server and its (serial) wiring
  connection to the printer.

Alternatively, consider configuring this or another printer with a
built-in NIC and native IP support -- simplify the current network
  printing configuration, in other words.
