Text to Speech? (DECtalk)?

» close window

The Question is:

Do you have a sound card which can generate voice messages from ASCII texts?

The Answer is :

This would typically be a DECtalk or similar device, and typically
  an off-board device -- effectively a text-to-speech printer -- is
the easiest approach as it avoids the need for any host device
drivers. Acquisition of used DECtalk device(s) (DTC01, DTC03) would
  be an obvious option.
