Connecting to DECserver via network?

» close window

The Question is:

I have a decserver 200 the isn't named and isn't in my TSM database. There is a
terminal connected to it and logged onto my vax
POS _LTA5093: 00002022 LTA5093: (LAT_AA000400E1A4)

I want to connect to it via ncp so I need to convert the aa000400e1a4 into a
 usable MAC address.

How do I do that.

Thanks in advance

The Answer is :

Via the NCP command CONNECT or the LANCP command CONNECT NODE, most
commonly. Examples of these commands are available in the respective
HELP libraries for the NCP and the LANCP utilities. (LANCP is available
  in OpenVMS V6.2 and later.)

The referenced value aa000400e1a4 would imply the DECserver is using
  the address aa-00-04-00-e1-a4, of course.

You could also log in directly on the DECserver console port, and
change the DECserver LAT settings there.
