In the program MAIL, how do I set the option to keep messages on the server?

The Answer is :

 
  With the SET COPY_SELF option, this can be the default for MAIL
  itself.  See the MAIL help library and the MAIL documentation for
  information on this.
 
  If you are accessing the MAIL file through TCP/IP Services by POP3,
  consider switching to IMAP.  The former downloads mail messages to
  the client, the latter can be configured to maintain messages on
  the server.
 
  For information on TCP/IP Services POP3 and IMAP support, please
