SCS Cluster Path Selection?

» close window

The Question is:

Is there a way, such as changing a sysgen param, to change inter-cluster
communications between Ethernet and SCSI or to make one connect primary with
 the other as an alternate?

The Answer is :

As SCSI is not a cluster communications interconnect, there presently
appears to be only one path available: NI.

As for controlling SCS communications paths, the OpenVMS Wizard will
seldom recommend altering the default cluster path selection mechanisms.
(These provide for fallback and reasonable path selection processing.)
For those cases where altering this is appropriate, please see the
SCACP tool (on recent releases) and particularly please see the related
cluster documentation for details of SCACP, and the LAVC$START_BUS and
  LAVC$STOP_BUS and related tools.
