» close window

The Question is:

Vax 4000-300 Version 6.2 with y2k patch. TCP/IP v4.1

We changed the ip address on our vax server over the weekend and now are
getting a error when trying to run this command.

$ ucx mount dnfs1: -
     /host=evelyn.fuller.com -
     /path="/fb_common" -
     /background=(del:00:01:00,ret:20) -
     /PROTECTION=(S:RWED,O:RWED,G:RWED,W:RWED) -
     /noconvert -
     /noadf -
     /system evelyn0:

Where evelyn is an IBM AIX server

We get the following error.
%UCX$DNFSMOUNT-E-MOUNTFAIL, error mounting _$1$DNFS1:[000000]
-SYSTEM-F-NOSUCHOBJ, network object is unknown at remote node
  OPER1 job terminated at 8-SEP-2003 09:15:50.28

how can I solve it.

The Answer is :

It would appear that the IP address for the specified host name is
incorrect (either within the local database or within DNS/Bind), or
that a correctly-addressed remote IP host is not presently running
  an NFS server.
