more port addresses to communicate with the computer.   
The streaming tape system can run in any two consecutive
port addresses between 0000H and FFFEH (H=HEX), provided
that the addresses are not occupied by another device.
If the selected port addresses are already occupied by
another device, they will be marked by an asterisk (*)
and must be changed to avoid conflict. Use F5 and F6
keys to change your selection."

Although the tape controller and utility software are
designed to allow sharing the interrupt with other

controller to an unused interrupt line for maximun
system performance."

"The tape controller uses one of the system's DMA     
channels to transfer data between disk and tape. DMA0
and DMA1 may always be used if they do not conflict
with other devices in your system (no asterisk appears).
DMA2 is used by the diskette controller. If necessary, the
tape controller can share DMA2, provided that that the 
disk and the tape do not use the same DMA channel
at the same time.

WARNING: NO ASTERISK WILL APPEAR NEXT TO DMA2, EVEN IF
ANOTHER ADD-ON DEVICE IN YOUR SYSTEM (E.G. A NETWORK CARD)
IS ALSO TRYING TO SHARE THE SAME DMA, BUT NEITHER THE TAPE
