The 20/40GB DAT drive is on the XP1000 supported options list. The part number you're looking for (US) is 157770-001 (external). It's supported under UNIX 4.0-f and 5.0, with native drivers. If you are not running on a 667MHZ unit you'll need to add an UltraII adapter, SN-KZPCA-AA. The required 2 meter cable will be included with the tape drive.
