Hello managers
I am about to add a "Deskside expansion pedestal" to an Alpha 200 running
D-UNIX 3.2a
What I need to know is the concept of how this beast works. I intend to put
one or two disks in the unit as a start.
I already have a CD & tape drive hanging off the existing SCSI bus (leaving
the possibility of adding 5 more units to the same bus.) The Alpha 200 has
a SCSI port on the back of the box. Do I just 'plug & play' ie plug
storageworks into that port allowing me to add 5 (or 4?)SCSI devices into
the storageworks unit? Also, how much configuration of system files do I
need to do to get the additional disk drives up & running.
Any info gladly received
