   The answer is that, yes, you can print remotely
to a printer which only has an ethernet connection.
To do so, in /etc/printcap, specify a printer by
name NOT by raw address !  Use DNS or /etc/hosts
to map name of printer to an actual address.

Hi Managers or Manglers as the case may be !
    Is it possible to create a printcap entry
which specifies a network address where an
actual HP printer is located and have my DEC
ALPHA (DUNIX version 3.2C) print to it ?
    I've searched manuals and archives for the
definitive "NO" that I am expecting.  No luck
so far :(
