PROMIS is a comprehensive manufacturing execution system (MES) designed to manage and control complex manufacturing environments for semiconductor and precision electronics. Using PROMIS, organizations can create a dynamic, directive manufacturing process that optimizes time, yield, order fulfillment, and equipment utilization.

On the manufacturing floor, PROMIS fills the information gap between high-level business-planning systems and process equipment. PROMIS achieves this objective by allowing a manufacturer to operate in a controlled, paperless environment using work instructions on computer terminals, automated equipment control, and a combination of both. All relevant manufacturing data is collected and stored in traceability records where it is available on a real-time basis to provide management reports; statistical quality control; part, lot, batch, and wafer tracking; and process feedback.
