Steve Winograd
Networking MVP
Published: July 24, 2003
Most Valuable Professional (MVP) Steve Winograd is a computer consultant with a master's degree in computer science living in Boulder, Colorado. He is consistently a top contributor in several Windows newsgroups, often writing more than 400 posts in a single month.
Steve retired in 1990 after 20 years as a computer programmer, working primarily on operating systems, compilers, and computer graphics. He became involved in the MVP program after attempting to set up his own home network and encountering a communication problem between two
computers. He found the solution to the problem in a newsgroup message, and with that satisfaction, decided to become a newsgroup contributor himself, and has become one of Microsoft's premier MVPs since.
