According to an April 1999 article, NetWare 4.0x (and all prior versions of NetWare) were not tested for Y2K Compatibility. So its likely there will be some unhappy things but I'm not sure how bad it is.

Patches and notes about Netware 4.0/4.01/4.02. Not much here as I've never run any of these versions.
4.01 was provided as a free upgrade to owners of 4.0 but I can find no evidence of the upgrade being provided electronically. Perhaps owners of 4.0 had to get a 4.01 media kit from their distributor or directly from Novell. 4.02 may have been a paid upgrade.
These were the patches up on the Novell support site on 13 November 2006. Only install paches for your version of 4.0x - don't go installing 4.01 patches on 4.00.
