Installing the NetWare WEB Server v2.51 on NetWare 4.11
Here I'm installing the NetWare WEB Server v2.51 that comes on the NetWare 4.11 CD.

Things you'll need to follow along you'll need:
- A VM with NetWare 4.11 installed
- The IntraNetWare 4.11 CD-ROM.
- TCP/IP Configured on the NetWare server

Installing
Firstly check the NetWare 4.11 CD is mounted. If not, put the CD in and type CD MOUNT NW411. Once its mounted, run LOAD INSTALL
Choose Product options
Choose Choose an item or product listed above
Choose Install NetWare WEB Server v2.51
Hit enter to continue
Files are copied...
Hit escape
Choose No
More installing...
Set an admin password for the web server
Time to restart the server. Hit escape to continue.
Hit escape twice and choose Yes to exit INSTALL.
DOWN and EXIT the server and start it again from DOS.
When the server comes back up there will be a few new screens open. The first is: Novell HTTP Server. This just seems to be a status thing.
The second is: Novell Basic language server
And the third and final is: Perl.

File\Select Server:
Server configuration! Tab: Server. If you check that little Enable NDS browsing checkbox down the bottom you'll be able to browse NDS from your web browser!

If you add the snap-in module to NetWare Administrator, it will extend the schema to store some extra stuff:

Instead of looking at screenshots of some antique version of NetScape under Windows 3.11 in 16 colours, I've mirrored the entire server here. You can also see what the NDS browser looks like (and my NDS tree at the time)
So thats the web server bundled with NetWare 4.11. About what you'd expect for 1995/1996 I suppose. The NDS browser is kind of neat plus its got the usual server side includes, perl CGI scripts and a basic interpreter.
